Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sonas Code ("Sonas", "we", "our"), an AI-assisted development platform for the Roblox ecosystem. By creating an account, pairing a Studio plugin, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Sonas.

1. Eligibility

You may use Sonas if you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). If you are under 18, you may only use Sonas with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your credentials secret. Notify us at security@sonas.dev if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.

3. The service

Sonas provides tools that help you write Luau, build user interfaces, manipulate Roblox places, and generate animations through AI assistance. The AI suggestions are generated by large language models. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated code and assets before deploying them to production experiences. We do not guarantee that AI output is accurate, secure, free of bugs, or suitable for any particular purpose.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the code, prompts, files, and other materials you submit to Sonas ("Your Content"). You grant Sonas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process Your Content solely as needed to operate the service.

You also grant Sonas permission to process Your Content through third-party AI providers (see Privacy Policy) to fulfill your requests.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to all material you submit. Do not submit content that infringes copyright, trade secrets, or other rights.

5. AI output

AI-generated code and assets are provided to you under a license that lets you use them for any purpose, subject to these Terms and the underlying model providers' terms. We make no representation about the originality of AI output and do not warrant that it does not coincidentally resemble third-party code or material. Industry practice and applicable law on AI output ownership is evolving; you should evaluate generated material before publishing it.

6. Roblox Studio integration

The Sonas plugin connects your local Roblox Studio to your Sonas account so the AI can read your place tree, write scripts, build instances, and run playtests. These operations are wrapped in Studio's ChangeHistoryService so you can undo them with Ctrl+Z. Mutating operations require your explicit approval through the on-screen prompt.

7. Credits and billing

Some features consume credits. Credit balances, top-ups, and refunds are governed by the Billing & Refunds page. Pricing is shown at /pricing and may change with notice.

8. Acceptable use

Your use of Sonas is also bound by the Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in suspension, termination, and forfeiture of any unused credits.

9. Intellectual property

Sonas, its UI, marketing copy, logos, marks, and documentation are owned by Sonas Labs or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that AI output will be correct or safe.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonas Labs and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to Sonas during the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 100.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Sonas harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, your published Roblox experiences that use code generated through Sonas, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

13. Termination

You may stop using Sonas at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for cause (including violation of these Terms) or for any reason on reasonable notice. On termination, your account data may be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of Sonas after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and Sonas agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware to resolve any dispute arising under these Terms.
